Great Dane / Labrador Retriever / Mixed (short coat) : : Male (neutered) : : Adult : : Large
"My name is Deets, and I'm a 3-year-old male Great Dane and Lab mix. When I was just a puppy, a kind lady spared me a potentially short life on the streets. Over the next few months, I underwent a rapid growth spurt that caused my back legs to become 'cow-hocked.' I then went through surgery to help correct this problem. I may never be an Olympic gold medalist, but I still enjoy going for walks with the HOPE volunteers. They say I'm such a loving boy -- I have earned the nickname 'Sweet Deets.' I like nothing better than to sit beside my humans and be petted and hugged. I'm also crate-trained. Think I'm that special guy you've been looking for? Please call 985-859-5246."
HOPE for Animals' dog adoption fee is $75. This includes initial vaccinations and spay or neuter. All dogs adopted from HOPE must have a fenced yard. Other pets in the household must be spayed or neutered, and a good vet reference is required.
