Meet Forrest, a male Rat Terrier who was found by his foster parents in a remote area where  he most likely had been dumped/abandoned. He was very thin, very much afraid and hungry. He was also in an area where there are coyotes and he's very lucky to be alive. It took almost a week, with his rescuers going out several times a day, to try to rescue Forrest. From his demeanor upon rescue, it seems likely that Forrest may have, in the past, been the victim of abuse and was very afraid to come near his rescuers. In fact, each time he saw them he would run very far quickly. If you've ever watched the movie Forrest Gump…that's how little Forrest got his name ("Run, Forrest, Run!")

It hasn't taken Forrest long to get used to the comforts of living in a home, with two square meals a days and lots of love and attention. Forrest is very playful and has endless energy!  He adores people and loves playing with toys and other dogs…preferably both at the same time! Forrest has come such a long way since he was first rescued. He is a total love bug.

Because Forrest enjoys the company of other dogs so much, he would most likely be happiest in a home with another dog/s.
